Five Alarm Funk's Sweat Fest

Five Alarm Funk's Sweat Fest

Canada's premiere sonic and visual assault brings double headline sets, special guests, and full-body funk to October 2 & 3, 2026

Five Alarm Funk is getting sweaty. The high-voltage funk juggernaut will take over Vancouver's iconic Hollywood Theatre for two nights — Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3, 2026 — for Five Alarm Funk's Sweat Fest, an immersive celebration of everything that's made the band one of the most electric live acts in the country.

Each night delivers two full Five Alarm Funk sets, doubling down on the relentless energy, precision, and signature chaos that has defined the band for over two decades. Sweat Fest is more than a concert, it's a full-sensory ritual, complete with a nightly dance warmup routine led by FAF's own fitness instructor Terri Mussels, interactive art by Touching Sound, and surprise special guests dropping in across both evenings.

On October 2, Swedish-Canadian singer and rapper Bo Henrik kicks off the evening with live R&B and hip hop. On October 3, drummer/vocalist TK the Artist and his band set the stage with high-energy soul and funk.

With over 20 years of experience in high-voltage funk infusion, the eight-piece Vancouver outfit has carved out a path entirely its own. The engagement, the hilarity, the precision and execution have heralded these manic Funk Bots with eight studio albums, two JUNO nominations, three Western Canadian Music Awards, and a rap sheet of glowing reviews. Their 2017 album Sweat earned a JUNO nomination for Instrumental Album of the Year, and the band has since shared a track "We Play The Funk" with funk legend Bootsy Collins of Parliament-Funkadelic fame. Their latest album, Force Majeure, arrived in 2025.

The band has brought its fully costumed, prop-decked stage show to premiere festivals across the globe, from Canada and the USA to Taiwan, and all the way to the UN headquarters in Mali, Africa.

Now, they're bringing that energized, economic, sonic and visual ritual home for two unforgettable nights.

“Sweat Fest is the culmination of 23 years of funkin’ across the globe together! We're pulling out all the stops for these back to back hometown heaters that will have you jumpin’ from start to finish!" – Tayo Branston (frontman, drummer, Five Alarm Funk)

“With one of the most vascular sets out there, Sweat Fest encapsulates everything we bring to the stage” – Tom Towers (percussionist, Five Alarm Funk)
