The nearest stop is Westbound W Broadway @ Balaclava St, just a 1-minute walk from the venue. Please call Translink at 604-953-3333 for exact bus routes, or visit the Translink website to plan your trip.

There is ample metered street parking near the venue.

Are minors allowed in the Hollywood Theatre?

Hollywood Theatre is a 19+ venue. All events are 19+/No minors unless otherwise noted. Two pieces of physical ID are required for entry.

By Public Transit
The theatre is easily accessible via several TransLink bus routes:
Bus 9 – Alma/Boundary
Bus 14 – UBC/HastingsBus 4 – UBC/Downtown
Bus 7 – Dunbar/Nanaimo Station
Bus 2 – Macdonald/Burrard Station
NightBuses N17 & N22 – Late-night service to/from UBC and Downtown

Do you have parking?

Hollywood Theatre does not have dedicated parking. There is metered street parking available along West Broadway and in the venue vicinity. We ask patrons not to park or interfere with designated local resident permit parking areas.

Do you accept cash payments?

Hollywood Theatre is an entirely cashless venue, and only major credit cards, debit cards, and mobile forms of payment will be accepted at all events. Select points of sale at artist merchandise may still accept cash. There are no ATM’s available in the venue.              

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

Hollywood Theatre is a non-smoking venue. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside in front of the theatre.

Is the Hollywood Theatre wheelchair accessible friendly?

Yes! The street level main floor of the Hollywood Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Please email us if you have accessibility issues and we will designate an area with a great view of the stage and cinema screen, plus a main floor accessible washroom. Bag Policy

For everyone’s safety, security, and enjoyment, we ask all guests to only bring small clutches, belt bags, fanny packs, or clear (i.e. see-through) bags. This allows our team to efficiently screen and welcome fans into the event. All attendees and items are subject to search upon entry.

Prohibited Items

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, Hollywood Theatre prohibits the following items:

Weapons: Including firearms, knives, pepper spray, or any item that could be used as a weapon.

Illegal Substances: Drugs or any illegal substances are strictly forbidden.

Outside Food and Beverages: No outside food or drinks are permitted inside the venue.

Professional Recording Equipment: Audio/video recording devices, cameras with detachable lenses, tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not allowed.

Disruptive Items: Laser pointers, glow sticks, fireworks, confetti, glitter, streamers, and similar items are not permitted.

All guests and their belongings are subject to search upon entry. Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual in possession of prohibited items.              

Re-entry

For the safety and security of all guests, Hollywood Theatre maintains a strict no re-entry policy. Once you have entered the venue, there are no in-and-out privileges. If you choose to leave during the event, you will not be permitted to re-enter. Please plan accordingly and ensure you have everything you need before entering the theatre. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Coat Check

Yes! Hollywood Theatre offers a coat check service for $5.00 per coat. It’s a convenient way to store your outerwear and enjoy the event comfortably. The coat check is located near the main entrance and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fan Code of Conduct

At Hollywood Theatre, we’re committed to creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all guests. We ask everyone to treat fellow patrons, staff, and the venue with courtesy. Please silence phones, avoid disruptive behavior, and follow staff instructions. Harassment, discrimination, aggressive behavior, or unauthorized recording will not be tolerated. Anyone violating these guidelines may be removed without a refund, banned from future events, or reported to authorities. If you see or experience inappropriate behavior, please notify a staff member or email us at info@hollwoodtheatre.ca. Thank you for helping us maintain a positive and inclusive space.              

Do You Sell Food?

Hollywood has theatre-style concessions including popcorn and candy which can be purchased in the front lobby.

Cameras & Recording Device Policy

To protect the experience of all guests and honour the rights of our artists, Hollywood Theatre has established the following policy regarding cameras and recording devices.

Professional Cameras
- Professional-grade cameras — including any camera with a removable, telephoto, or zoom lens — are strictly prohibited inside the venue. No exceptions will be made.

Point-and-Shoot Cameras - Small, non-professional point-and-shoot cameras, iPhones, and smartphones are permitted at most events. All cameras remain subject to approval by venue staff at the door, who reserve the right to refuse any device deemed unsuitable at their discretion. Please do not call the venue in advance to request camera approval.

Flash Photography - Flash photography is strictly prohibited at all times. Guests found using flash will be asked to stop immediately and may be required to leave the venue.

Audio & Video Recording - Recording of any kind — including audio, video, and live streaming — is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from Hollywood Theatre management. Unauthorized recordings may result in removal from the venue.

GA Events

General Admission events are standing room only with a limited number of seats available first come first serve. For accessibility issues please email info@hollywoodtheatre.ca

Seated Events

Seated events are sold at the direction of the event promoter and dependent on the type of the event. Please see the event specific seat map or ticket type to purchase your preferred seats.
