🎬 The Hollywood Theatre Short Film Festival 2026 🎞

HTSFF is back for its second year running, bigger and better than ever, with a 2-day festival on August 13th and 14th, 2026!

This festival celebrates Vancouver’s independent film voices, from emerging talents to seasoned storytellers. Established in 1935, the historic Hollywood Theatre provides the perfect backdrop to showcase our city's cinematic talent.

Each day of the festival will feature two one-hour-long screening blocks, each exhibiting the works of 7-8 filmmakers from Vancouver and the surrounding cities. These films will range from narrative dramas to music videos, demonstrating the diverse creative spirit emerging from the local filmmaking community.

Beyond showcasing their work, selected filmmakers will have the chance to discuss their creative journey through an audience Q&A, connect with other local talent, and stand the chance to win attractive prizes for their cinematic achievements.

The evening of August 14th will conclude with an afterparty featuring dancing, drinks, and celebration!

Early Bird Tickets for individual days are now available at $16 each for the first 50 attendees; regular-priced tickets are $21 each. 2-Day passes are available for $38.
