Battle of the Bands
Join us for the third annual Battle of the Bands, hosted by Beatdapp — a Vancouver-based music-tech company using AI/ML to combat streaming fraud and champion transparency in the music industry. This is not your average battle: it’s a high-energy convergence of tech and talent, spotlighting both the companies shaping music’s future and the artists defining its sound.
The night kicks off at 6PM with a showcase of “tech bands” featuring teams from Beatdapp, North House, Tipalti, 604 Records, Play MPE, and more — proving that the people behind the platforms can rock just as hard as the artists they support.
Hosted by Dino the Beloved, the evening builds toward the main event: four standout local bands going head-to-head starting at 8PM. Expect various dynamic performances, immersive visuals, and a crowd-voted $5,000 grand prize. The winning act will also earn a performance slot at Railtown Rooftop Party, presented by 604 Records.
Lineup:
Quadra Sound – Classic rock swagger fused with 90s grunge grit and explosive live energy
Post-Modern Connection – Indie rock meets surf and jazz influences, wrapped in smooth, soulful vocals
Small Town Artillery Collective – High-powered six-piece delivering horn-driven riffs, big hooks, and relentless stage energy

With live visuals, special guests, and a room filled with music lovers and industry insiders, this is a celebration of creativity, community, and cross-industry collaboration you won’t want to miss.
- Hollywood Theatre is a 19+ venue

- All events are 19+/No minors unless otherwise noted
- Smoking is not permitted inside or outside in front of the theatre
- There are no in's and out's for the duration of each event
- Hollywood Theatre is now an entirely cashless venue, and only major credit cards, debit cards, and mobile forms of payment will be accepted at all events. Select points of sale at artist merchandise may still accept cash.
