The line up is as follows:
Hosted by Julie Kim - Julie has been on an international tour opening for the great Ronny Chieng in arenas. She has performed on the debaters several times, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Kim’s Convenience, as well as writing for the Junos, and performing on JFL Northwest.
Headliner - Irene Tu - Irene Tu is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. In 2017, the San Francisco Chronicle singled her out as an “artist on the brink of fame,” on the heels of being named one of the “Bay Area’s 11 Best Stand Up Comedians” (SFist) and one of 20 “Women to Watch” (KQED).
She has performed at numerous festivals including SF Sketchfest, Comedy Central’s Clusterfest, RIOT LA, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and Outside Lands.
Irene has opened for comedians such as Patton Oswalt, W. Kamau Bell, Brian Posehn, Anthony Jeselnik, Gary Gulman, Judah Friedlander, Hari Kondabolu, and Aparna Nancherla. You can see her on season 2 of “Take My Wife” and on VICELAND’s “Funny How?”
Feature Andrea Jin - Andrea was born in Mainland China, and moved to Canada at 13 years old. Her comedy album Grandma’s Girl was nominated for the Comedy aAlbum of the year Juno, and she has most recently performed on JFL Montreal as across America and Canada.
Feature - Yumi Nagashima - Yumi was born in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to Canada a few years ago. She has appeared on Comedy Central Asia, Just for Laughs Montreal and toured the US with Sherri Shepherd.
