We’re kicking off our Anniversary Cuts Summer series with one of the most quotable, absurd, and laugh-out-loud comedies ever to hit the big screen. Airplane! turns 45 this year, and it’s still flying high with its rapid-fire gags, deadpan delivery, and zany plot that parodies the disaster films of the ’70s.

From autopilot inflatables to jive-talking passengers, this cult classic doesn't just land—it crash-lands into hilarity.
